Pair Roycroft Arched Hammered Copper Bookends, Deep Hammering, Ucommon.

Uncommon pair of deeply hammered Roycroft arched copper bookends. Strong, bold design featuring large arches accentuated with deep planishing marks. Deep hammering on the front of the bases also. Uneven wear to the patina, primarily from a century of use. Both signed. Verdigris on one edge and corner, as shown, with loss in that area. On the underside, some adhesive residue remaining from the removal of felt, mentioned for the sake of accuracy. Measurements: 6" wide x 4" deep x 3 7/16" high. Weight: over 2 1/2 pounds the pair.
